Are you tired of looking at the same Google logo every time you try to open Chrome? If your answer is yes, let me tell you that you don’t have to keep looking at this logo every time you try to use the browser. If you don’t use the search bar all the time or visit one website all day, what do you think about setting this website as the homepage of your web browser?
In this article, we will show you how to change the homepage on Chrome with a simple set of steps.
How to Set the Homepage on Chrome?
Follow these steps to set the Home button on Chrome:
1- In the top right corner of the browser, click the three vertical dots icon and choose Settings from the menu.
2- You’ll be directed to a new window with all the browser settings. On the left, click the fourth option for Appearance.
3- In the Appearance section on the right, turn on the switch for Show Home Button.
4- You’ll find a box labeled “Enter custom web address”. Here, type the address of the website you want as your homepage.
5- There’s no need to save – Chrome automatically saves your settings. Now, clicking the Home button (usually in the top right corner) will take you directly to your chosen website.
How to Set the Chrome Home Page?
Unfortunately, the page we chose as the Home page a little while ago will only appear when you click on the Home button in the upper left corner of the browser. But if you try to open Chrome again for the first time, you will see the same default page and the usual Google logo. So what do you do to change the homepage when the browser starts for the first time?
The steps are very simple. Just like we did a little while ago, click on the three vertical dots icon from the upper right corner and then choose the Settings option from the drop-down menu.
From the new window, click on the On Startup option located below the settings list on the left of the page. You will notice three different options in the On Startup window:
Click the last option. Two new options will appear. Click the first one, “Add a new page.” Then, enter the URL of the website you want to set as your homepage in the empty field and click “Add.” That’s it!
As you can see, changing your Chrome homepage is a breeze. Simply follow these steps to choose the website you want to see when you launch Google Chrome.
